Dedicated Micros SD8N30 Codec Fail when upgrade unit

Ok here is the story

I have a dm sd8n30 (M3S) that was running with the 4.2 firmware

I stupidly decided to want to upgrade to 4.3 and now that I have done that my dvr wont boot

don't output a signal to the screen and if I telnet into it it says "Codec Fail"

 

also if I go to the web interface it is still showing version 4.2??????

I differently put the right firmware onto my usb drive and I did put all the files on it and followed the guide that dm give you but it seems to of bricked my dvr

 

Any Ideas?

I think best will be find same unit and copy all the files into yours. To double check do you have unit with round front panel without buttons ?

Yes looks like one of the older ds2's but without any buttons

I should have somwhere working sd unit I will check this weekend. All data should squeeze on dvd so i can send you one. All you need to do is copy everything to your hard drive.
