kg6mti 0 Posted March 10, 2006 Is there a way to configure the email notification from the GeoVision system to change the "Server Address" to a fully qualified domain name or at least a different IP address? When I get my email notifications they contain the local IP address and that will not function as a valid URL when I am outside the local network.
G22 0 Posted March 10, 2006 Don't think so. Ours did the same... 192.168.1.xxx in the email. I simply bookmarked the Public IP, then logged in as necessary to use Remote Playback.

What I am looking for is to have the link available from any PC no matter where I check the email from and have the link be valid. Thanks!

kg6mti 0 Posted March 10, 2006 Save the IP/URL to Memory (ie. your brain) Yet another good suggestion. But it would also be nice to be able to forward the email to another person that does not know the URL and allow them to just click the link already in the email. Thanks!
