KGB 0 Posted May 7, 2015 Hi all, we act as IT support and have been asked by a client to take a look at a Symphony 16 DVR unit which appears to have a faulty hard drive. (There is an audible "tick" from one of the drives and playing back a saved file usually fails after about a minute, though the DVR unit itself does still boot and appears to be working correctly) I can see 2 drives present 1TB Seagate st31000525 sv - I do actually have quite a bit of documentation for the unit but nothing as regards drive replacement. I can obtain exact replacement drives, they are 6 years old and both will be replaced. Can anyone help with the drive replacement procedure? Thank You, Keith. KGB 0 Posted May 14, 2015 For anyone attempting the same procedure I can confirm that its as simple as replacing the drives and ensuring that the drive has no partition and is not formatted.
