Confusing issue with Hikvision 2132F -IWS

Recommended Posts

Camera: Hikvision 2132F-IWS -

Firmware: 5.2.3

Camera works fine when it's directly connected via Ethernet cable.

When the camera is connected through this wireless network I only get a black screen without video. I can access everything, but can't get live video. iPhone works fine with ivms-4500 lite.

It has to be something with the network. Router is a Motorola Surfboard Router. Also utilizing an Amped Wireless Repeater to extend the wireless network. The results are the same with the regular network and the extended network. I'm really leaning towards an issue with the router(perhaps firewall). Any help would be appreciated.

BTW this same camera and same laptop(Windows 7) connected perfectly at my home wireless network. (the above paragraph is at a friend house).

You can ping the camera and get into it's menus but get no video? Is this tested on the same computer for your network and your friend's?

if you are remotely viewing with a browser, you need to forward port 554 (rtsp)...the mobile app works because it uses port 8000...
