SRTCCTV 0 Posted May 18, 2015 Hey Everyone, Looking to get some LPR Cameras for a client. Cameras will be placed on a security gatehouse at entrance of residential community. Entrance has 2 lanes. (Visitor and Resident) Do I need 2 cameras for the License plate capture or just one?( Entry lanes are right next to each other) And what cameras do you recommend? The LPR guy 0 Posted May 21, 2015 You may want to consider using a system more than a camera. Typically, I have found much worse results just buying an "LPR" camera and not an LPR system. There are a lot of companies who can set you up with a system for less than what a standard LPR camera would cost. And also, typically, LPR cameras are set up on a per lane basis. Most of them require 1/5th the field of view for optimal performance. Especially if you are in the United States without elongated plates. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
