Dashcam - Wide FoV, HD, Net or USB

I'm looking at setting up two dashcams in my car. They should be discreet lipstick cams, which feed by ethernet or USB to an Intel NUC machine under the dash running OpenElec. The cameras (aimed front and back) should have a wide field of view, like 135 degrees or better, and they should be at least 3Mp. Good night performance would be very nice.

Ok, maybe I'm doing New Science. The reason I asked here is that you can't really depend on the specifications as manufacturers lie, and nothing can describe the night performance of a given camera except experience.
