Need help identifying this Dvr please

Hi all,

 

Having a problem trying to identify this DVR, it is a 16 channel H.264 500GB model but has no details on the back. Basically a friend gave it to me and i've got it working but want to a) update the firmware and b) connect remotely.

 

I've included a pic of the dvr plus what i believe to be the firmware version.

hello,Yas,it looks made in Taiwan or Korea.Can you see the DVR starting Picture when you power on DVR?maybe you can find some infomation from that picture.or check some infomation on DVR mother Board.

Hi . If it is working then just use as it is

 

It looks old looking at its gui

 

Don't think if you get an old system and flash with new firmware you will end up with a newer system ..... More likely you will brick dvr.

 

Your image shows your using in a store ?

Analog DVRs are cheap .... Buy one that has better internet viewing and has iOS and droid apps available

Hi guys, thanks for the replies.

 

The firmware update is an aside issue, mainly want to be able to view remotely via software, using the devices own gui is very fiddly. i opened up the dvr and cant see any manufacturer name, however their are model numbers.

Hopefully you guys could shed some light on this.
