IP cameras over siamese cable

I need an advice regarding cctv installation at my house.

I have an existing siamese cables (RG59 + power) with analog cameras installed. I trying to convert to IP cameras.

 

Here is a setup:

Synology NAS -- > TP Link switch (CAT5) --> siamese cable (RG59 + power) --> Hikvision IP Camera.

 

I an not sure how to connect CAT5 from TP Link to siamese cable. I bought video balun but it works only one way not reverse. There is no power coming out of power connection of video balun:

TP Link --> Cat5 --> Video Balun

 

Any advice or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Its not going to work that way...

The have converters but its a huge hassle and very expensive..It would work better and be cheaper to pay someone to replace the cable...

The other option you have is to use an hd over analog system, cvi, sdi, tvi....

Those are nice for special situations but its almost always cheaper to run new ethernet and no need to mount that enclosure anywhere...

If it is cheaper to pull new cable then that makes sense... For the projects we use them on it's way more cost effective to use these then to pull new cable not to mention we would have to pull fiber since some of the coax runs are 1500+ ft

Rewiring would not be an option as I have 8 analog cameras wired home run inside the wall to the main unit in the basement.

 

I guess the only option is to use converter, very expensive option. The cheapest I found around $100

Thats the price PER unit and you will need two for each camera..

I dont see why running new wire is an issue. Cameras are installed in old construction every day...If you have a skilled crew they can do it with almost no damage to the home and all the cables inside the walls...any incisions will be minimal..it will still be way cheaper than using these units and mounting them near each camera.....do some research and find someone in your area who can run cable neatly.

Like wireguys says, this is generally used for instances where running new cable is not an option...in your case it would be silly.

Honestly, at 60 dollars per camera I would still rewire...I would not trust the low end stuff for the long term...Get some estimates on rewiring before spending the money on this...
