Sure, in the case of a Stand Alone non Windows DVR, a Wireless Access Point.

In the case of a PC DVR, a wireless PCI Network Card.

Yes. Though the IT Guys on here can better assist with which one to use .. or ask the local PC store .. as far as I know it would be an Access Point ..

You don't need an additional wireless router. If you have one than all you need is the wireless PC card as Rory suggested. If the DVR is getting out of rang of the router, then you can buy a repeater. There are actually several ways to go about this, but if the DVR is close enough to the wireless router than what I said above will work.

If it is a little to far away you can use a Hawking High-Gain Wireless-G USB Dish Adapter. Supposed to increase you wireless distance by 300%. Don't know if that is true as I have never used one.

Oh, well there is probably a product that would allow you to plug into an RJ45 ethernet jack and have it lead to a wireless device. Don't know one off hand, but there might be one out there somewhere.

Maybe the Wireless eye will drop by and let us know if this is pie in the sky.

Wait a minute. You should be able to plug in another wireless router or access point into an RJ45 ethernet Jack.

What you need is a Wireless Ethernet Bridge. I think SMC makes them, but maybe some other do also.

Of course I don't know what OS the standalone uses so it probably won't work as the bridge is more than likely not support.

Turn that thing into a PC and no problem. Sorry, maybe someone else has some ideas.

You just need an Ethernet to Wireless Bridge. They are pretty cheap and don't require any kind of driver.

That is what I thought, but wasn't sure.

There are many of those available from different manufactures.
