merfious 0 Posted May 26, 2015 Hi All, i have a hikvision DS-7816HW-SH from china, i have tried updating firmware 3.02, it would not upgrade, but when i click the reboot button from the GUI over the web platform, would not start anymore, and tried plugging thru vga monitor, no image as well. Securame 0 Posted May 26, 2015 I think that DS-78xxHWI-SH is the domestic market version of the DS-72xxHWI-SH. If that is so, those models only have available chinese firmwares, so I hope you know chinese... What firmware did you try to use? Was your unit in english? You might be able to recover it with TFTP, but you would need to find the right firmware for your unit first, and if it had been previously hacked to english, now it will be back to chinese only.
