Smartphone / Tablet Access 2 NVR with NO internet connection

Hi People,

 

Just a quick question.

 

I have a 4 Channel Hikvision NVR with Hikvision IP Cams installed at a storage yard.

The system is all up and running and recording etc.

 

The problem I am having is that I want to be able to view and playback from an iPad and iPhone using the iVMS app.

 

In order to do this I need to connect to a network via Wifi.

 

I have tried fitting a router, which works to a certain extent. Except that the Phone/iPad keep dropping the connection to the router as there is no internet connection on site.

 

Opening a web browser brings up a page stating that the router has failed to connect to the internet. Upon which it will drop the connection.

 

This in turn stops any connectivity to the NVR.

 

So basically I need to create a wireless network that I can connect to that is happy with there not being any internet connection.

Is there a way to do this?

 

I apologise if I am being stupid.

 

I am by no means an expert in this area.

Solved it.

 

I entered the router setup and switched it to wireless bridge mode rather than routing mode.

 

All working perfectly now.
