dpw818 0 Posted June 4, 2015 I've got a few of IQ755 5 MP IP cameras in / around the house. I'm looking to add one or two more, but unfortunately, the IQ755 is discontinued and no longer seems to be available anywhere. I did try the replacement, IQ 765, but found the performance very buggy. In addition, a major problem was that I could not use variables for the destination folder for the stored images (that is to say, with the IQ 755 cameras, I can set the destination folder of captured images as /stored/$D$M$Y/back where $D$M$Y is the date format). The IQ 765 do not allow this, only permitting 1 of 3 pre-set locations. Are there any comparable cameras that anyone can recommend? I'd prefer a camera that has the software on-board (since I run Linux machines), and that allows for variables in at least folder paths, and preferably file names? Other than that, I'm pretty flexible. Thanks a ton!
SyconsciousAu 0 Posted June 5, 2015 Not sure if it fits all your requirements but the 6MP Hikvision DS-2CD4065F-(A) looks like a very good unit on paper. http://www.hkvstar.com/product-news/hikvision-ds-2cd4065f-a-6-mp-ip-camera-review.html
