Fozzy 0 Posted June 19, 2015 Hello all, I'm looking at the Hikvision (HIKVISION DS-7608NI-SE/P 8CH 8 x PoE) NVR and was hoping some of you might have one and warn me of any problems or shortfalls with it as I really can't afford to get this wrong. I am wanting a 1080p system that will have live view at 1080p and also record for playback at 1080p with four or more cameras attached at over 25fps. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
drcarric2650 0 Posted October 30, 2015 I have the DS-7608NI-SEP, I would suggest getting the newer model, 7608NI-E2/8P it has a little higher bandwidth, and you can use the newer firmware. I'm currently stuck with the older firmware, 2.3.11_150625. I was between houses so it's been a year since I set it up, I'm setting it up now with the curret 3 MP camera and added 5 new 4Mp camera's and I'm not exactly sure if the band width and older firmware will handle it all. I'll keep posting here as I progress, and let you know how this NVR works out... If it doesn't I will most likely upgrade to the 7616NI-E2/8P 16 since it is only $70 more and has a 100 Mbps...
