normicgander 0 Posted March 15, 2006 Well the judge ruled that the subject in a Florida murder case will get old "Sparky." One news anaylist and former judge said the CCTV footage was the "clinch pin" in the case. Even thought the footage is rather poor, it was enough to break the case. MJEG or MPEG4 compression methods didn't appear to be a concern.
rory 0 Posted March 15, 2006 We still depend on the British Privy Council to determin the laws here, for certain things, and they had petitions from 2 convicted murderours on death row, which they just used to determine that the death penalty for murder currently in our country is inhumane and illegal .. or something like that. They are now saying all the hangings from the 1960's were illegal and this and that .. basically what has happened up to now that anyone convicted of murder was automatically sentenced to death .. though the previous government from 1992 to 2002 did around 10 hangings, there has been none within this current government, and also, crime has increased 10 fold ... hopefully we will eventually break away from the UKs higher courts and use our own judgement soon, as the UK is a totally different society without the crime on the level we have over here. Without the Threat of death for murder, as you can see the amount of murders has increased, as the criminals just dont care anymore, all they will do is end up going to Prison, and like most can get sentences as low as 1 year to 7 years for cold blooded murder.
