maguyvr 0 Posted June 25, 2015 I have a Swann CONVR-B83MP-US , 8 Channel 3MP Network Video Recorder with 2TB HDD that I purchased from Costco. I would like to add a couple of dome cameras and I'm not having a lot of luck finding the proper camera. Swann said to use a NHD-831 which is pricey and a little hard to find. Isn't this system made by HIKVISION? I'm wondering if anyone knows of any Hikvision dome cameras that would work. Thank you.
chris63220 0 Posted July 11, 2015 As long as it has the same connections on the end of the camera it'd work. Ie, if your current Swann cameras use the BNC connections, then find a dome camera with BNC connections on it .

If you want full compatibility, stick with Swann supported dome IP cameras. Swann NHD-831 looks like HIKvision DS-2CD2732 ...
owlcam 0 Posted August 25, 2016 it seems that it doesn't support Onvif protocol. So, it must be a private protocol. you have to buy swam camera as swam want to do so. Sometimes, the voltage of POE ports are around DC19V, not DC48V, this setting could save a lot of cost.
