kandcorp 0 Posted March 16, 2006 There are already a few threads about mobile DVR recommendations. http://www.cctvforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=4756 http://www.cctvforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=3778 http://www.cctvforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=3162
Daryl733 0 Posted March 16, 2006 Thanks. But am trying to get dealers/manufacturer who frequent here to get to me. Most of the dvr in those threads are 4 channels. Most mobile dvr makers only have 1-4 channels as well. Only a handfull make 8 channels. Am actually looking at everfocus EDR810M now. Any feedback regarding this model ? kandcorp 0 Posted March 16, 2006 No experience with that particular model. Check out this: http://www.servision.net/prod_svg1000.html All cellular transport protocols: GPRS, CDMA and HSCSD, including a generic PCMCIA slot for custom modem integration. If this works anything like the SNG400, its good in my opinion.
normicgander 0 Posted March 16, 2006 Kand, The SerVision equipment looks interesting. However, I need to look at the software. I didn't see on the site...
kandcorp 0 Posted March 16, 2006 Its on the site, though you need a user and password to access it. I had a copy of the software but have seem to mis-place it. The software is actually really easy to use and setup nicely. It has the ability to connect to multiple mobile DVR's. Oh, and the DVR is PDA supported. Just contact them and ask... Daryl733 0 Posted March 17, 2006 Forgot to mention. One of the requirement is also the power used. Should be 12VDC or 24AC. Bascially hooking up to a vehicle. Thought all mobile DVR (vehicular mount) should be using those kinda power instead of 110/240VAC ? The SerVision looks interesting but the specs said that it's using 110/240Vac. kandcorp 0 Posted March 17, 2006 From what I remember you can get a 12V version or 110V, its just the matter of swiching out the PSU. Used to do it with the SVG400 at my old job.
icrealtime 0 Posted March 17, 2006 Your right Kand - You can power the Servision unit via the cars power. All you need to do is switch out the PSU.

scottj 0 Posted March 17, 2006 Nice little 4 channel unit here. Put one in my last SUV and it worked great, although watching the recorded video of me driving makes the stomach a little uneasy. Scottj

Looking for a solution with at least 8 camera's which I presume would download images/raw data via wireless when vehicle returns. As well as March look at: Ad Holdings (Dedicated Micro's) Trans VU Integrian TC50 Verient MDVR Timespace X200 Just a few to get on with. Need any further help let us know.
