sandman512 0 Posted June 30, 2015 Looking for some assistance or if someone can point me in the right direction on configuring and setting up an IP camera system. This week, i will be installing one camera(starting with), running into a DVR in my office then connected to my wireless router. I can handle the install, the problem is configuring the whole system. tsamysore 0 Posted July 1, 2015 Hi , to start with check if your DVR can take IP cameras - most new DVR allow limited IP cameras to be connected. Preferably get the same brand IP camera or if not the same brand ensure that both the DVR/NVR and Camera are ONVIF compatible. Use a IP sniffer or software supplied with the Cam to change the IP and connect the cam to a switch which in turn connects to network port on the DVR/NVR. Search for the IP cam on the DVR/NVR and add it to the table. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
