t310483317 0 Posted July 1, 2015 Hi there all I won an auction on like new pelco dome cameras and after winning went and purchased BNC video/power cabling but the domes have arrived now and the BNC for the video is okay but the other cable coming out of the camera isn't the normal power one I'm used to is there anything I can buy to convert the power from whatever it is to the BNC power dc cable I have? Much thanks to any replies.
glasssplinter 0 Posted July 27, 2015 What kind of power ends are they? Bare wire or a plug? For bare ends look at something like called 2.1mm x 5.5mm Male CCTV Camera DC Power Adapter. They just use a set screw to tighten onto the wire.
jeromephone 6 Posted July 27, 2015 did they come with a manual? I am not familiar with that camera but some are 24v ac or that is an option. What are you going to use for a controller?
jazzar 0 Posted July 29, 2015 Download the manual from PELCO website- should be easy enough- for basic camera all you need is power and video and data to control PAN TILT AND ZOOM if its a functional ptz dome- any other wires are usually for alarms etc. Post model number and a pic of the cables you refer to for people to get a better idea of the connections you refer to.
