jpscfl 0 Posted July 2, 2015 Hey everybody, One of my ip camera customers requested an indoor dome camera with a smoked dome, so the "targets" do no know which direction the lens is facing. Now for analog cameras...Smoked, mirrored, etc. no problem. But searching the web for ANY manufacturer that offers a smoked dome ip camera comes up empty. Can anyone explain the lack of availability for this product?? Thanks!!
myiicu 0 Posted July 3, 2015 Some Axis cameras include both clear and smoked domes. Most IP cameras are not good in low light conditions, so a smoked dome would reduce overall sensitivity...
badmop 0 Posted July 5, 2015 You could always take a clear dome and on the inside (maybe outside?) spray it with that product that comes in a spray can for blacking out tail lights, amazon should have it, local automotive places. Smoking it yourself that way, and testing to see if the camera can see out alright. Just a thought
