logicrussh 0 Posted July 13, 2015 I have 10 Cameras installed on my DVR (7 Bullet, 2 Dome, 1 PTZ) all cameras are connected to a power supply, only ptz has an external power supply. I'm having problems with one bullet camera. There's too much interference on it. Sometimes the image has good quality, sometimes is really bad. Brand: Dahua (All cameras and DVR)
the toss 0 Posted July 14, 2015 Give the BNC connectors at each end a bit of a wriggle/jiggle just to make sure they have been done properly. Next most likely cause is interference from lights / air con / freezer plant / compressors etc. Keep a log of when the interference appears and see if it matches the usage of any electrical equipment. logicrussh 0 Posted July 14, 2015 Nothing is wrong with the BNC connectors,I have some equipment on the same rack where my DVR is placed (2 servers, 3 Switches, 2 Modems, 2 Routers, 1 Battery, 1 Access Point) Could this equipment cause some interference with the dvr or connections? Also there's an AC above all this.
the toss 0 Posted July 14, 2015 Well if it is only on one camera then it is unlikely to be getting in at the rack end where everything is converging. Non of that gear would normally be capable of causing interference at CCTV baseband frequencies. Have you swapped the camera with another to prove if it is cable or camera causing the problem.
