quenbo 0 Posted July 19, 2015 Hi, this is my first post here and English is not my first language (I'm from Belgium), so I hope I won't make too much mistakes... I have three 2CD2132-I camera that had 5.2.3 firmware. I downloaded the v5.3, the update seemed to work, was succesful, but after rebbot I can't access anymore to the cam web page.. Access Error: 404 -- Not Found firmware language mismatch: /home/webLib/doc/page/login.asp I have read a lot about this "firmware language mismatch" but all I read was BEFORE the update, and the cam refusing to do the update... but none "after" the update... I don't think the cam are bricked because I also have an Hikvision NVR by wich I can acceed to the cam, and even modify some current settings of the cams into the NVR Software. The cam are recording and I can find them in SADP (which show 5.3 version), but when I double click on the IP adress, Firefox (and IE) show me the 404 error? Can you help me? Thanks in advance Quenbo
quenbo 0 Posted July 19, 2015 So, I finally managed to downgrade the firmware from 5.3 to 5.2.3, with TFTP. I was not sure to succeed because as my cam are fixed in wall, I did not have access to the 12V supply... But it worked with PoE... The problem is my v5.2.3 Web access is now in Chinese... Do you have any idea how to revert it back to English (or French as I did before) Thanks...
MaxIcon 0 Posted July 19, 2015 There's a pinned post at the top of this forum about changing back to English, but it's for an earlier version. You'll have to read through it to see if it might work on your version.

Unfortunately, as I was on (I think) 5.2.3, I did not find the Telnet in Chinese version (maybe disappeared in this version?) So I tried again with TFTP but I had a lot of trouble to make it work again... One cam downgraded easily with TFTP, one other never did but finally accept by BatchConfig Tool (which was in English), and the last one was close to the garbage after à thousand of "unplug and reset" and was finally miraculously detected by TFTP... Now I can find them all in SADP again. I think, after a lot of reading, that I will stay with the v 5.2.0 (which is available in French)...
MaxIcon 0 Posted July 20, 2015 Yeah, the best approach to grey market Hiks these days is to leave them on whatever firmware they come with. Every new version throws in more problems with upgrades.
