Richie.edw 0 Posted July 24, 2015 Hi all looking for some help or suggestions , i was working at a customers house yesterday as they wanted a few extra cams on their existing system after all that i went to set up their dvr with mobile viewing plugged ethernet cable in and logged onto their router which is a bt home hub 4 . The dvr wouldnt show up on wired connections so thought maybe a faulty cable so tried a new one and still same problem am i missing something in the router not used to working on home hub so any any help would be appreciated . Im back there on tuesday so im going with another dvr just incase port on back is knackerd . Is there a setting on home hub that stops this i plugged a laptop into homehub and that worked straight away so i know router is ok Cheers

Are the wireless devices on cellular networks?

checkley101 0 Posted August 25, 2015 If you've set the dvr as a static I.p address rather than dhcp that is your issue, I had a similar problem with a avtech system and qvis ,so I set the dvr to dhcp and it appeared ,make sure you reboot the dvr once changed, then tell the router to reserve that I.p address only for the dvr and then it won't change it. That should fix your issue
