gritts 0 Posted August 6, 2015 hi,not been on here for a few years but im ready to upgrade my cameras & need some help with the wiring on my cameras,i have my old system setup in my property at the moment which is the an old avtech 4 channel h264 and its only vga ive purchased this model K-Guard Aurora - 4 Camera 1TB 960H Auto-Tracking CCTV Kit which has hdmi plugin etc,now my question is can i just use the cables already set out & just change the cameras and box over without having to put in all the new cabling ?? the new systems cabling look exactly the same as the ones already laid out for my old system ? the plugin ends all look the same Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
zr1 0 Posted August 7, 2015 Sounds like both the old and new cameras are analog systems, so yeah, I'd certainly go with the existing cable. The only issue would be if the existing cable got damaged over the years from weather or whatever. You could also run a simple test of each cable with your new cameras and do a look-see, but in most cases, no problem. The cables are compatible. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

The cables are compatible. all good with the cabling system is decent much better than what i had,tracking camera is pretty good but a bit erratic at times !!!
