phmax123 0 Posted August 8, 2015 do you think we can you use this type of converter ?
tomcctv 190 Posted August 8, 2015 €33.760 not counting licence is your starting point So on your first post ...... It's more cost effective to change all to avigilon cameras As you have seed SDI IS on its way out fast and you have seen SDI cameras can be had for €17 ($25)
tomcctv 190 Posted August 8, 2015 do you think we can you use this type of converter ? Yes using the NVS0404HDC-A which will convert 4 cameras at a time Quick maths 500 div 4 = 125 125 x €270 is over 33k Then you have avigilon licence x 125 units
thewireguys 3 Posted August 9, 2015 What cameras do you have? There are different flavors of SDI and there are encoders like this one from Dahua which would record the HD stream. http://www.dahuasecurity.com/products/nvs0404hdc-a-836.html
