Newbie looking for camera suggestions

I am looking for three more cameras to cover the entrances to my house, preferably by Axis because I already have a M3024-LVE, and maybe their Companion software to manage it all? I was looking at their cameras and was confused on why their 1MP cameras seemed to be the most feature-packed cameras. My area gets pretty dark at night with minimal street light coverage so I was wondering if the higher MP cameras would suffice, even without IR or Lightfinder. I have read lots of good things about P3364-LVE so I was considering that.

 

One of the cameras will be either over the front door/steps, possibly the M3024-LVE in corridor mode, or covering the garage door because there will be lights on both sides of the door. I am assuming the front door with 1MP and IR will be good enough because someone would have to walk right under the camera to reach the front door and it's pretty well lit there. The third camera will be under the third floor soffit aiming at the side gate into yard, and a fourth on the wall above the rear entrance into house. Does anyone have any suggestions for possible cameras to use? I was thinking a 12mm P3364-LVE aiming at the side gate and a 6mm P3364-LVE at the back but I feel like 1MP won't be high enough quality to ID faces.
