BillyJ 0 Posted August 18, 2015 Hi colleagues, I am using NVR model: Hikvision DS-7604NI-E1/A (FW version: V3.3.2 build 150522) and cannot figure out how to access recorded on NVR files and DELETE them. Don’t see such option at all. I have tried 3 different “access types” to the NVR: 1. Via Physical/Console access using embedded NVR software 2. Via iVMS-4200 Client Software 3. Via Web interface (both IE and FireFox) Checked all menus/tabs….etc. don’t see file DELETE option. What have seen and being able to accomplish is: a) Download recorded files locally to a laptop (but remains on the HDD of the NVR) b) Set Video Expired Time: The time for keeping the record files in the storage device, once exceeded, the files will be deleted. The files will be saved permanently if the value is set as 0. c) Set files to e overwritten in case HDD is full All that clear, BUT if I need to delete some records manually, cannot accomplish. Have anyone faced such requirement and found option/workaround? I would really appreciate any ideas on the case Thanks in advance. Cheers!

Why it is "not suppose tobe deleted"? Is it on purpoce or... Strange if I have admin rights, I wont have option to select and delete specific recordings.. Do you know if there is option to enable telnet...I was looking for that, but seems not available as well Thanks in advance
vodoca 0 Posted September 13, 2016 You can usually set disk quotas on the respective channels (streams). There is probably no way how to delete or manage inidividual files. They want you to use their special brand specific software on custom network protocols.
rdaught 0 Posted October 8, 2016 You can try this (I'm trying it too): Set the system date/time in the System Configuration screen to be the day that you want to delete. Then from the main menu select Recording configuration and choose the Record Quality option. Then select the 'Record' tab. Select the camera you want to delete video on. In the field marked 'Erase video after (Days)" type '1'. Wait a day and see if that days video is erased without erasing the other days. For instance to erase Feb. 3, 2016, set the system data to Feb.3, 2016. On Feb. 4th the Feb 3rd video should be deleted. I don't know if this will work but It seems logical. I'm going to try and see what happens.

Can't see those options anywhere. Thanks.
Sentience Security S 0 Posted October 11, 2017 Hik DVR systems automatically overwrite the oldest recorded data. There is no reason to delete individual clips or days. That’s why you don’t see an option for it, because it is unnessary.
ak357 0 Posted October 11, 2017 Hik DVR systems automatically overwrite the oldest recorded data. There is no reason to delete individual clips or days. That’s why you don’t see an option for it, because it is unnecessary. It is nothing to do with "unnecessary" Nobody should have right to Delete recording...NOBODY!
