Connecting microphone to Hikvision NVR (DS-7716NI-SP16)

Hello,

I would like to attach a microphone to the Hikvision NVR (to only communicate as needed, no recording).

 

I am thinking of buying a Olympus ME-52W microphone, can this be connected to the NVR BNC port instead of the camera using a BNC adapter?

 

I will be using it outdoors with a 15 foot cable, installed in a junction box at the height of about 7 feet.
