remote connection only works with meye

Hi I have recently setup my cctv dvr (storage options) and was able to connect to it via the meye app on my phone. I'm now trying to set it up to work on my pc via wavestore software but it just wont connect locally or externally I've forwarded the relevant ports and tested them with can you see me and they are all showing open. Just cant understand why it only works from meye software nothing else. am I missing something.?
