mstan87 0 Posted September 1, 2015 Hi all, My current system involves the use of older analog panasonic box cameras which output via bnc connectors and converted to fiber using an S700VT-MST mini converter. These run back to the CON and they are converted back to bnc and then connected to Avigilon encoders to connect them to an Avigilon ACC5 sever. Now, I have started installing HikVision POE cameras in new areas and am thinking of upgrading the old panasonic's but am not sure which way to takle it. The fiber is a single fiber multimode with ST connector at the camera housing. I am wondering if I can upgrade them to IP cameras and use RJ45 to Fiber media converters? Any help is appreciated. jeromephone 6 Posted September 1, 2015 you could convert but you would need a pair of fibers to use an Ethernet connection.
