TexDangerfield 0 Posted September 1, 2015 Hello everyone! New to the forum. Following a run of robberies and theft of property, I have installed a Swan DVR 4400 security system with two cameras in my Grandfathers. Now I can access the cameras locally via DHCP and have yet to start the port forwarding set up. But my question I'd like to ask involves installing CCTV apps on an Android Box so that my Grandfather can access it on the main tv rather than through a laptop. Has anyone experience in using there cctv sets in this way? Do you use any specific apps that work best on a TV? I have tried using several but with no luck, I'm not sure if this is down to my own inexperience or that the apps are simply not compatible. I'm sorry if this question has been asked before. I did a quick search on Android boxes and had no luck.
badmop 0 Posted September 5, 2015 On my phone, I use IP Cam Viewer, it's like $5 but it works well. There may be a trial or free version you can try first so that you aren't stuck buying an app that may not work for you. I see no reason why it wouldn't work, but just my thoughts.
