Not sure where to go to update this NVR

Hello, I'm new here! I'm Rick..

 

A friend told me about this site, saying there was a lot helpful knowledgeable people hear, so I thought I would give it a try..

 

Anyways.. I got this nvr off kijiji years ago and never tried updating it, I'm not even sure where to get the firmware ?

 

if anyone knows what I have and how to update this system please help a newbie out

Wow, a 4ch system with 16 alarm inputs...? Strange.

 

That is a rebranded Dahua unit. Dahua does not provide firmwares. You would need what is the original model for Dahua, and get lucky finding an updated firmware. If you mess up when updating, you will end up with a brick.

 

Unless you do have a very good reason for updating the unit, if all is working fine, I would advise against doing it.
