rmi63 0 Posted September 15, 2015 I have a question regarding the IR on these cameras. This morning, when it was dark, I noticed that the IR light was not on. It was late last night. I haven't really had a time to troubleshoot it but it is my understanding that the IR on these things are controlled by the camera itself and not by software. I think I read somewhere that the IR turns on and off automatically and there is no way to control this. Is this correct?
topchips 0 Posted September 16, 2015 Hi There you can check the setting on the camera to make sure DAY/NIGHT is on Auto, you will need to log into the cam via the IP address, see pic attached Regards
MaxIcon 0 Posted September 16, 2015 The older Dahuas, like the 3300 and 2100, had no direct IR control. IR was turned on and off by the sensor on the IR board; it didn't matter if the software was even running. I believe the 4300 series is controlled by firmware, but it's been a while since I tested it.
rmi63 0 Posted September 22, 2015 I ended up doing a factory reset and everything is working fine. Don't know what the problem was.
