justintlp 0 Posted September 18, 2015 Hi guys, found a few topic on this in the forum but no conclusive answer so will give it a try again. Will keep it point form for ease of reading - DVR connected directly to main router via LAN cable - worked fine for 1 year - Recently, started dropping connection - Connection will "wake up" again once I unplug and plug the LAN cable - After 1-2 hours, connection drops. Unable to ping the DVR with my PC until i plug and unplug the cable - After latest firmware update still same issue. Tried the following recommendations from various forums but to no avail:- - checked IP - has been set as static from day one, no change - cleared HDD memory to zero Have yet to try - Lowering video recording file size - Fiddling with my router settings (not 100% familiar with all this stuff but was told unlikely router issue) Anyone have any clues as to what may be the issue or what other tests, settings I should try? I have seen others comment that AVTECH or cheaper DVRs tend to give these issues but refuse to believe that theres no fix especially since it was working fine for a year? Should I focus on the DVR or router in this case? I don't think the main router is the issue as I have other devices (wifi router, xbox, tablets, phones) connected to the same network with no issues at all. Any help would be great I promise to post an update if this is fixed.
