I have been using an SA9060 for about 9 years with no problems.

 

Just recently I tried to view an event, which I have done many times before. Now the machine won't accept the default password any more.

 

I have tried taking out the CR2032 and resetting the machine but it no longer accepts the default password: 1111

 

Can anyone suggest how to get into the machine or reset the password via a hard reset etc.

 

I would also like to re-install the firmware but the only way I can see to do this is to get to the menu, which requires a password

Hi. Aré you using a capital A in your admin name

The DVR is just asking for a password. No name.

 

I have done this many times before with no problem.

 

The default password was: 1111. It has been changed somehow.

 

I need to reset the machine to make the password return to the default, or enter10,000 numbers until I find it.

Problem solved.

 

I decided the only answer was to enter all the possible combinations from 1 to 9999.

 

There is no zero, so that must eliminate some numbers.

 

Then I thought just maybe only one of the default digits were changed.

 

So I entered 1111

2111

3111

etc.

 

1211

1311

1411

etc,

 

and so on

 

until I reached 1131 and got back in, phew!!!!

 

Hope this may help someone else.

 

I have reset password to 1111 and will be writing down the final one I use.
