kingkev 0 Posted October 10, 2015 I'm attempting to set up a NVR outdoor camera system for my home by myself. Choosing the equipment seems to be a pain. Looking for 4 cameras that can withstand NY weather (rain/snow and temps from 90+ to below freezing). I would like clear enough picture to grab a license plate or some facial features. Approximately 30-40 ft range. Hoping to stay under the $1000 mark although im flexible. Not sure if this is even relevant to say, but i would also like to view it from my smartphone at any time with no monthly fee. Thanks for any input! Edit - after more research on this site im taking a jump in the water and saying im leaning towards DS-2CD2132F-IS 4x for the cameras and the dvr is ds 7808n - e2/8p .
