rory 0 Posted April 4, 2006 GE does everything but the VGA listed there .. as its a Stand Alone it requires a composite monitor. But its a high end DVR so may be out of your budget. Optionally take a look at the Kodicom Stand alone DVRs .. Rory
CCTVcams 0 Posted April 4, 2006 Easy to use software for the stupid end users Too funny - thanks for the laugh!
KOBI Australia 0 Posted April 4, 2006 At present we are using the Active-tek and I build our our PC based linux and Windows with XP embedded but am looking to change due to the following the stand alones are getting in Australia. Here is Australia they Installers and End Users want all the features available but really only use Search and Backup... I have had many samples from both Korea and taiwan but have yet to see a DVR that foes that job.. I have had a few emails from Astel and ICRealtime what is the consensis on their product if you have dealt with them ? Have repaired a few Kodicoms system and feel they arn't that good and support down under is terrible. Look forward to hearing some feedback.. rory 0 Posted April 6, 2006 ICrealtime is located in the US, they import from your area, so youd be best going to someone in your area for the same DVR if you chose that unit. GE has a dept in australia, have you checked them out? Then there is Dedicated Micros. Optionally you could check out the I-view Stand alone PC units, they use Embedded XP so are 100% PC features and highest quality of any stand alone (though embedded it is not a RTOS), but with front panel push buttons. They are located in Taiwan I think. Also check out this thread, see if you can get some free demos and let us know how they are http://www.cctvforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=4730

Actually, no we dont import from Australia. If he is interested he can purchase from one of our overseas distributors or directly from us. He cannot buy the same DVR else where..Sorry it's not possible. We are the only ones who carry the ICRealtime DVR's.

kandcorp 0 Posted April 6, 2006 I know where our DVR's come from. I was just trying to point out that if KOBI is interested he has different options on where to get the ICR DVR's and also that he could not buy the same DVR from somewhere else like you stated. KrCCTV 0 Posted April 7, 2006 ... he could not buy the same DVR from somewhere else like you stated. So would it like have a different name on it or something?
kandcorp 0 Posted April 7, 2006 Different Name?? What, if he bought from one of our overseas distributors? If that’s what you’re asking, no it would say ICR on it.
KrCCTV 0 Posted April 7, 2006 No... if he bought it from the actual hardware manufacturer.
kandcorp 0 Posted April 7, 2006 He wouldn't be able to purchase that DVR direct.
KrCCTV 0 Posted April 7, 2006 You mean with the ICRealtime name on it... sure... and Z.D.T. probably wouldn't ship just one from China to Australia no matter what name was on it (or at least it wouldn't make much fiscal sense). But they must sell through other channels right, or at least want to - - Heck... I see they're at ISC West: http://www.iscwest.com/app/homepage.cfm?moduleid=1533&appname=180&PGswitch=PGdetail&K_PGI_ID=7618

And yes they wouldnt ship just one no matter what name. Yes, they do sell through other channels, they have products other than DVR's that they sell.
KrCCTV 0 Posted April 7, 2006 Whew… thought for a moment there I was in an exchange with kLINTONandcorp and the topic was icMONICArealtime. Yeah… be proud of your product’s heritage - - paint the thing red! At least they have some human rights over there… and not everybody can say “their†
