mike300 0 Posted April 5, 2006 I'm running Geo 8.0 and have Key Lock as a startup program which locks down the desktop. What is the easiest way to temporarily disable Key Lock in case I want to have full access to the Windows desktop? Thanks.
kandcorp 0 Posted April 5, 2006 Look in your manual for "desktop lock" function. There should be some literature on how to enable and disable.
netvisiondvr 0 Posted April 6, 2006 The manual is enough for your problem.
ezCCTV 0 Posted April 6, 2006 You should not have the Keylock program in your Startup Group. The Software is just run from the original program location. The settings part of the program dictates whether it is called at startup.
mike300 0 Posted April 6, 2006 I've looked in the manual and I can't seem to find the answer. Why shouldn't keylock be run in the startup folder? If it shouldn't be in the startup folder, where is the setting to have it autorun? And I still can't figure out how to temporarily turn it off. Sorry if these are dumb questions. ezCCTV 0 Posted April 7, 2006 In its normal use (i.e. not in the startup group) To turn off Keylock Click on Settings icon Login with Supervisor ID and Password Click on Desktop type Select Windows Exit GeoVision Click on the Log Off button Login with Supervisor ID and Password Click on your Windows Username To Start the Keylock Utility Select Keylock Utility from the Start Menu Click on Settings icon Login with Supervisor ID and Password Click on Desktop type Select Multicam It is alot easier, and quicker than it sounds!
