antdickens 0 Posted April 7, 2006 http://www.securitcctv.co.uk/Event123247009.zip The above is a link to a video file which shows some strange distortion i am getting on a PTZ dome attached to a gevision system. Anyone seen anything like this before? The dome is running from a 24v AC power adaptor ~ 5m away from the dome. Signal goes down a RG59 approx 20m then onto a balun and a further 10m on cat 5. I know the cable run is fine as the ptz has replaced a static camera which ran fine using the cable. All help much appreciated. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

rory 0 Posted April 7, 2006 It looks like a transmission problem. More than likely it could be your Balun part. Have you tested the signal at that point on a monitor (TV or Test Monitor or CCTV Monitor) ? Is the power cable 18AWG? Rory Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
