motion software linux streaming video to server

Recommended Posts

I have a DLINK DCS 930L IP camera. I am using motion software right now to stream the video and also record video from the camera. But, now it just streams video to the local network. in the configuration settings of motion, what should I change so that i can stream directly onto my server with a static IP ?

I am using ARM based controller with ubuntu running on it. The data connection is via a 3G modem. Also, using my 3G modem can I stream the video which is view able from anywhere in the world ? Right now, i have connected ethernet to the device, so I am able to view the stream only on local networks.
