8 Channel HDCVI 1080

BNC inputs

Best DVR software experience

Stability

Possibly control 1 IP PTZ camera as well

Hoping to stay under $500

My boy got this exact system and is very pleased. His neighbor also bought one the next day and got the Lorex PTZ camera for it. The DVR takes a standard harddisk and fan. The cameras use 3.6mm lenses easily changed to zoom (~4X) up to 16mm for good ID up to 80 feet.
