My boy got this exact system and is very pleased. His neighbor also bought one the next day and got the Lorex PTZ camera for it. The DVR takes a standard harddisk and fan. The cameras use 3.6mm lenses easily changed to zoom (~4X) up to 16mm for good ID up to 80 feet. Here is a youtube video of the 16 channel version at only 720p with the PTZ in the lower left corner.
