jisaac 0 Posted April 12, 2006 Ok I posted a new topic since the old one got off topic. I found out what was wrong with the cams going on and off The had a new sign installed and the installers when installing the sign moved our wire that was the slack for the cameras and zip tied it to a beam therefore giving it no slack. Well when that happeaned the wind would blow making the mounts on the building bounce and the wire was rubbing against that beam. It was putting alot of resistance on the wire in a place I did not know this was happeaning. I pulled that whole section off and cut it off and measured the resistance. The old wire was 26k and the new was 3k. wow what a difference. The cameras now are working perfectly and the picture is obviously alot better also. I thought I would post the solution. That whole thing was pissing me off. I was wondering why all the sudden the wind was such a factor. I figured the wire was slowly working its way out of the terminals. It was the only logical thing I could think off. Its good to know that it was not our installation problem and was some numbskulls idiotic move.
