Dahua NVR assistance

Hello,

 

Finally making the move from an old Speco DVR / Lorex Cams to HD.

 

I am looking at the Dahua NVR4208-8P-4K NVR and have a few questions for those that own, or have installed this unit.

Will this NVR record all 8 cams at 5MP? I believe the specs say it will, but I'd just like to confirm. I don't see a need for 4k cameras so I plan to go with 5mp Dahua cams. This is an install for a homeowner on the lookout for local thugs so anything more than 5MP I doubt I'll ever need.

Playback - whats the FFWD rate on this thing? I record everything and FFWD through when I see something at night. 4x, 8X, 16x? I wish I could locate the manual for this thing but I'm guessing it comes on a CD with the unit.
