Do I need gang box for Blue emergency PULL station

Hi ,

 

Do I really need a box to connect a Blue emergency PULL station or I can just use a low voltage plate to make the connections ?

 

It's for an access system using a 12/24VDC magnet.

We always mount ours to a box but if you want to use the mounting ring for aesthetics, there is nothing preventing it.

If it's a fire wall then yes use the metal cut in box. If it's not a fire wall then use the plastic ring.

It's not a fire wall. Just a regular wall.

 

When saying low voltage , it's under what voltage ? 48 VDC ?

In electrical power distribution, the United States 2005 National Electrical Code (NEC) defines low (distribution system) voltage as 0 - 49 volts

But in Europe some country consider 36 V and under as low voltage

So where does that leave 75v PA and intercom systems?

Check your local code as well as NEC. If it were me I would mount on a box.
