Jordy 0 Posted December 14, 2015 Hi everyone. I am totally new to all this. I had installed a HIKVISION DS-2CD2332 to my home this weekend by a very clever sparky. The camera is up and running and I can see the live feed on my Mac and via the App. My issue is I am unable to record to my drive located on the network. I can see the drive, but when I choose format, the initialisation always fails. Does anyone know the format type the drive should be in and what partitions need to be created? If it helps, my camera is working over POE. The Storage drive I want to use ideally is a 1tb USB HD attached to the USB port of a Apple Airport Time Capsule. The USB drive is currently formatted in FAT32. I am using the HIKVision software for Mac running El Capitan. All I want to do is to be able to begin a recording when motion is detected. I don't need 24/7 recording. Can anyone help me figure the out?
