icu 0 Posted May 26, 2004 Just got a contract to test all of the existing wiring in a new custom built home (and to potentially wire all of the new homes being built). Does a tester exist that will test telephone, cat5 and bnc? I found a Triplett Lan WireMaster XR-5 that will test RJ45, RJ11, BNC, 1394 and USB. Anybody have any experience with these or similar units? Who is the best manufacturer of test equipment? Is there any good resources for structured wiring? I have only managed to find DIY websites so far. TIA, ICU
qman 0 Posted May 27, 2004 Well, I use something that's similar to it. It's a network tester, basicaly, a RJ11, RJ45, and BNC connections.
