Can view PTZ but cannot control it #newbie

I hope you can help, I am having difficulty adding a PTZ to my system.

 

I have owned a Defeway D08AHD1 for a couple of years using a couple of fixed cams with no issues.

Now I have added a PTZ and although I can view the PTZ cam, I cannot control it at all.

 

My PTZ camera is:

Maxx Digital AHD 720P 1.4MP 60M IR PTZ CCTV Camera 10x Zoom (MDH-PTZ-C130)

 

I have wired the PTZ correctly to the RS485a & RS485b.

 

I have selected the PELCO_D protocol on the DVR and baud 2400

 

The PTZ cam protocol is "auto".

 

When I originally got this and hooked up the fixed cams, they were pretty much plug & play. I know nothing about cctv and suddenly feel way out of my depth, I would be eternally grateful for any assistance

Most PTZ's settings are via the dip switches (addressing and protocols). I haven't seen one that is "auto" detections of protocols and addressing.

 

Please check the PTZ internal parts if you can see dip switches.
