dnfakrnl 0 Posted December 31, 2015 I want to install cameras at a gas station and the owner wants the license plates to be visible. I can't install that many cameras, as the channels were already occupied. So I'm left with 7-8 channels. Anyway this place is pretty big. Is there a really good quality camera that can pick up license plates and even scratches of the car without zooming in very much, that's not an IP system? What are some factor for a good quality display? MP + resolution + ? Thank you in advance and a happy new year Edit. I have a DVR + 32(SD + HD + PTZ) at the spot Edit.1 I did some more search and I found HD-SDI cameras are one of the best?
dnfakrnl 0 Posted December 31, 2015 If I install HDCVI 1080p cameras like following: Will the license plate be visible when I zoom in from the recorded footage of DVR?
the toss 0 Posted December 31, 2015 You fail to mention THE most important parameter - the distance from the camera to the subject. The basic setup for gas stations is numberplate capture on entry AND exit as well as broard overview of the entire forecourt. After this has been established you may consider cameras viewing specific pumps and/or areas.
