svt11 0 Posted January 10, 2016 Hi, yesterday I used siamese cable in which coax cable was without isolation. So, the connector couldn't get well in there and we have to somehow recrimp it. On almost every camera. Cable for me is not with good quality. I need to know one more thing - from the reseller store they told me that using Cat5e the quality won't be the same as with siamese cable. Is this true and should I continue using RG59 coax / siamese cable. There is also another problem - I can buy only siamese cable 100m - one package, not per meter. jeromephone 6 Posted January 11, 2016 get the best rg-59 with 2 18ga power wires you can afford get some spare crimp on connectors and if you have cable left over try and sell it. you will be fighting a losing battle with cheap cable so this may be a case of having to spend a little more to get something that works.
