binods21 0 Posted January 18, 2016 Hello, I'm using a Kocom DVR, and i need to be able to monitor the cameras from an external network. I read up a lot on the topic and have come up with two ways i can do it. I can either get a public ip, which i would have to pay for, and forget about it. OR, i could do it through services such as dyndns, no-ip, and ddnscctv.com or acecctv.net. I have extensively read up on port forwarding and since the DVR's client port is 7620 and the HTTP port is 81, i have been successfully been able to forward these ports. (verified by canyouseeme.org). Since Dyndns and no-ip need constant registration and are paid features, and also because my DVR comes with a free and automatic ddnscctv.com recommendation, i went with that. I can access my DVR over the local network via IE, but i can't get to it from outside my LAN. What am i doing wrong? Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated
aibudo 0 Posted January 18, 2016 Acquire your WAN address by going to "whatismyip.com" or something similar, then try using that address with ":81" after that. Example: http://123.456.789.01:81 in Internet Explorer
